Been playing around with altering various types of clips. These are two mouse traps that I altered, and the Bat Cat is an oversized cloths pin. Just playing around and having fun.

The Progression Of A Peacock
It's been ages since I've made any art using hand torn papers, so when my dear daughter asked me to make a peacock for the living room, I thought why not, torn paper would be fun.
I'm really pleased with how this one turned out. Even better in person.
Outlined sketch on canvas and paper selection.
Back feathers first.
Head and Neck coming along.
Close up of the head.
Completed and on the wall.
Closer image of details.

Playing With Abstracts
Yet another work in progress. Sometimes I have to ask myself, "Am I ever truly finished with an abstract?" I've recently been playing around with abstracts again, and occasionally have to take long breaks from the painting to prevent mucking it up. Patience has never been a strength of mine, but I am learning through this process of experimentation, that I need to take a break for a while to "feel" where the painting is going next - if at all. Often it is during this rest period away from the painting, that I will determine if it is finished. It may take days or weeks of glancing at a painting at random times to determine if I want to add something else, or leave it be.
Here are a couple examples of what I mean.
Here are a couple examples of what I mean.
The first layers of a mixed media abstract.
The second layers of colors worked on weeks later.
Still deciding if, what, & where I want to work next with this piece.
